  1. ikiwiki (2.41) UNRELEASED; urgency=low
  2. [ Adeodato Simó ]
  3. * Preprocessor directives generated by the shortcut plugin accept a `desc`
  4. parameter that overrides the anchor text provided at shortcut definition
  5. time. (Closes: #458126)
  6. [ martin f. krafft ]
  7. * The meta plugin now allows for the robots tag to be specified without the
  8. risk of it being scrubbed.
  9. [ Joey Hess ]
  10. * Add recentchangesdiff plugin that adds diffs to the recentchanges feeds.
  11. * rcs_diff is a new function that rcs modules should implement.
  12. * Implemented rcs_diff for git, svn, and tla (tla version untested).
  13. Mercurial and monotone still todo.
  14. * Support Text::Markdown::markdown, which is the spelling used by
  15. version 1.0.16 of Text::Markdown.
  16. * Updated Spanish translation from Victor Moral.
  17. * Fix example exclude regexp. Closes: #469691
  18. * Remove locking code in git rcs_commit. I'm not sure if this was ever
  19. correct, and it's certianly not correct now, since the wiki is locked
  20. before rcs_commit is ever called, and should not be unlocked by
  21. rcs_commit either.

  23. ikiwiki (2.40) unstable; urgency=low
  24. [ Josh Triplett ]
  25. * Add new preprocessor directive syntax¸ using a '!' prefix. Add a
  26. prefix_directives option to the setup file to turn this syntax on;
  27. currently defaults to false, for backward compatibility. Support
  28. optional '!' prefix even with prefix_directives off, and use that in
  29. the underlay to support either setting of prefix_directives. Add NEWS
  30. entry with migration information.
  31. [ Joey Hess ]
  32. * Danish translation update from Jonas Smedegaard. Closes: #465152
  33. * Generate XML RPC messages with the encoding set to utf-8 instead
  34. of XML::RPC's default of us-ascii. Allows interoperation with
  35. python's xmlrpc library, which threw invalid encoding exceptions and
  36. caused the rst plugin to hang.
  37. * Add the linkify and scan hooks. These hooks can be used to implement
  38. custom, first-class types of wikilinks.
  39. * Move standard wikilink implementation to a new link plugin, which
  40. will of course be enabled by default.
  41. * camelcase: Convert to use new linkify and scan hooks rather than the old
  42. hack.
  43. * Setting NOTAINT=1 had no effect when building ikiwiki itself, fix this.
  44. * Depend on HTML::Scrubber, since the scrubber is enabled by default and
  45. dies if its can't be loaded.
  46. * The search plugin needs to override <base> to point to the directory
  47. containing ikiwiki.cgi, but this should not change the urls to the style
  48. sheets etc. Add a new forcebareurl parameter to misctemplate to allow
  49. it to do that.
  50. * Preview limits the page dropdown to what's selected previously
  51. (as preserving the full list across preview would be tricky). Userdirs
  52. were still being offered as an option there, remove them.
  53. * Fix a bug where user A created a page concurrently with user B, and
  54. when B previewed it would redirect B to A's new page, losing B's work.
  55. Instead, don't redirect and let conflict handling resolve it.
  56. * monotone: Add code to default mergerc file to run
  57. _MTN/ikiwiki-netsync-hook when a commit is merged in from the net.
  58. * tla: Remove call to escapeHTML when constructing recentchanges message;
  59. the html is escaped at a different level. Closes: #466495
  60. * bzr, mercurial: Remove unused import of escapeHTML.
  61. * Fix another preview will_render bug. This one involved inline,
  62. which forced a scan of the page to make available metadata that
  63. appeared after the inline directive. Problem is that scan made it forget
  64. about any other files rendered due to the page. The scan also turns out
  65. to be unnecessary now, since meta persistently stores state and it's
  66. always available. So it was just removed.
  67. * Disable taint checking for all builds as people keep complaining about it,
  68. and since all versions of perl seem to be hopelessly broken.
  69. * Fix links generated by preprocessor directives when previewing.
  70. * inline: When forcing urls absolute for rss feeds, skip mailto and other
  71. such urls.
  72. * ikiwiki-makerepo: Don't fail if the third argument ends in a slash.
  73. * Allow colons in URLs after the first slash. (Adeodato Simó)

  75. ikiwiki (2.31.3) unstable; urgency=high
  76. [ Josh Triplett ]
  77. * Do not allow the about: URI scheme; some browsers interpret about:
  78. URIs like a limited version of data: URIs. In particular, some
  79. versions of Internet Explorer interpret arbitrary HTML content in
  80. about: URIs.
  81. * Also filter the attributes cite, longdesc, and usemap, which can contain
  82. URIs.
  83. [ Joey Hess ]
  84. * meta: Check that the urls provided for authorurl, permalink, and openid
  85. are safe and can't contain javascript.
  86. [ Josh Triplett ]
  87. * Match literal '.' in URI schemas containing '.', rather than matching any
  88. character.
  89. * Do not allow the steam: URI scheme.
  90. * Allow the snews: URI scheme.
  91. * Allow the smb: URI scheme.

  93. ikiwiki (2.31.2) unstable; urgency=high
  94. * The security fix in the last release had buggy handling of data:image,
  95. now fixed. Closes: #465110 (CVE-2008-0808, CVE-2008-0809)
  96. -- Joey Hess <joeyh@debian.org> Sun, 10 Feb 2008 15:31:17 -0500
  97. ikiwiki (2.31.1) unstable; urgency=low
  98. * htmlscrubber security fix: Block javascript in uris.
  99. * Add htmlscrubber test suite.
  100. * Thanks to Josh Triplett for pointing out the holes and for his help
  101. in implementing and checking fixes.
  102. -- Joey Hess <joeyh@debian.org> Sun, 10 Feb 2008 13:22:59 -0500
  103. ikiwiki (2.31) unstable; urgency=low
  104. [ Joey Hess ]
  105. * Revert preservation of input file modification times in output files,
  106. since this leads to too many problems with web caching, especially with
  107. inlined pages. Properly solving this would involve tracking every page
  108. that contributes to a page's content and using the youngest of them all,
  109. as well as special cases for things like the version plugin, and it's just
  110. too complex to do.
  111. * aggregate: Forking a child broke the one state that mattered: Forcing
  112. the aggregating page to be rebuilt. Fix this.
  113. * cgi hooks are now run before ikiwiki state is loaded.
  114. * This allows locking the wiki before loading state, which avoids some
  115. tricky locking code when saving a web edit.
  116. * poll: This plugin turns out to have edited pages w/o doing any locking.
  117. Oops. Convert it from a cgi to a sessioncgi hook, which will work
  118. much better.
  119. * recentchanges: Improve handling of links on the very static changes pages
  120. by thunking to the CGI, which can redirect to the page, or allow it to be
  121. created if it doesn't exist.
  122. * recentchanges: Exipre all *._change pages, even if the directory
  123. they're in has changed.
  124. * aggregate: Lots of changes; aggregation can now run without locking the
  125. wiki, and there is a separate aggregatelock to prevent multiple concurrent
  126. aggregation runs.
  127. * monotone changes by Brian May:
  128. - On commits, replace "mtn sync" bidirectional with "mtn push" single
  129. direction. No need to pull changes when doing a commit. mtn sync
  130. is still called in rcs_update.
  131. - Support for viewing differences via patches using viewmtn.
  132. * inline: When previewing, still call will_render on rss/atom files,
  133. just avoid actually writing the files. This is necessary because ikiwiki
  134. saves state after a preview (in case it actually *did* write files),
  135. and if will_render isn't called its security checks will get upset
  136. when the page is saved. Thanks to Edward Betts for his help tracking this
  137. tricky bug down.
  138. * inline: Add new `allowrss` and `allowatom` config options. These can be
  139. used if you want a wiki that doesn't default to generating rss or atom
  140. feeds, but that does allow them to be turned on for specific blogs.
  141. * Don't die if running with --getctime and rcs_getctime throws an error.
  142. There are several cases (recentchanges files, aggregated files)
  143. where some source files are not in revision control.
  144. * Page templates can now use CTIME to show when the page was created.
  145. [ Josh Triplett ]
  146. * README.Debian: Mention user wikilists.
  147. -- Joey Hess <joeyh@debian.org> Sat, 09 Feb 2008 23:09:45 -0500
  148. ikiwiki (2.30) unstable; urgency=low
  149. [ Joey Hess ]
  150. * Old versions of git-init don't support --git-dir or GIT_DIR with
  151. --bare. Change ikiwiki-makerepo to use a method that should work with
  152. those older versions too.
  153. * aggregate: Don't let feeds set creation times for pages in the future.
  154. * Add full parser for git diff-tree output (Brian Downing)
  155. * aggregate: Fork a child process to handle the aggregation. This simplifies
  156. the code, since that process can change internal state as needed, and
  157. it will automatically be cleaned up for the parent process, which proceeds
  158. to render the changes.
  159. [ Josh Triplett ]
  160. * Add trailing comma to commented-out umask in sample ikiwiki.setup, so
  161. that uncommenting it does not break the setup file.
  162. [ Joey Hess ]
  163. * inline: The template can check for FIRST and LAST, which will be
  164. set for the first and last inlined page. Useful for templates that build
  165. tables and the like.
  166. * prettydate, ddate: Don't ignore time formats passed to displaytime
  167. function.
  168. * Pages with extensions starting with "_" are internal-use, and will
  169. not be rendered or web-edited, or matched by normal pagespecs.
  170. * Add "internal()" pagespec that matches internal-use pages.
  171. * RecentChanges is now a static html page, that's updated whenever a commit
  172. is made to the wiki. It's built as a blog using inline, so it can have
  173. an rss feed that users can subscribe to.
  174. * Removed support for sending commit notification mails. Along with it went
  175. the svnrepo and notify settings, though both will be ignored if left in
  176. setup files. Also gone with it is the "user()" pagespec.
  177. * Add refresh hook.
  178. * meta: Add pagespec functions to match against title, author, authorurl,
  179. license, and copyright. This can be used to create custom RecentChanges.
  180. * meta: To support the pagespec functions, metadata about pages has to be
  181. retained as pagestate.
  182. * Fix encoding bug when pagestate values contained spaces.
  183. * Add support for bzr, written by Jelmer Vernooij. Thanks also to bma for
  184. his independent work on bzr support.
  185. * Copyright file updates.
  186. -- Joey Hess <joeyh@debian.org> Sat, 02 Feb 2008 17:41:57 -0500
  187. ikiwiki (2.20) unstable; urgency=low
  188. * inline: Add copyright/license info on a per-post basis to atom
  189. feeds if available. (rss doesn't allow such info on a per-post basis)
  190. * Also include overall copyright/license and author info in atom feeds if
  191. available.
  192. * meta: Allow copyright/license metadata to contain arbitrary markup.
  193. * Call preprocessor hooks in void context during the scan pass. This allows
  194. the hook to determine if it's just scanning, and avoid expensive
  195. operations.
  196. * img: Detect scan mode and avoid generating and writing the image file
  197. during it, for a 2x speedup.
  198. * meta: Run in scan mode again (more intelligently) and re-add support for
  199. meta link.
  200. * Fix support for the case where metadata appears after an inline directive
  201. that needs to use it. This was broken in version 2.16.
  202. * template: Remove bogus htmlize pass added in 2.16.
  203. * template: Htmlize template variables, but also provide a raw version
  204. via `<TMPL_VAR raw_variable>`.
  205. * When htmlizing text, if the input is a single line with no newline,
  206. and the htmlizer (such as markdown and textile) generates a html
  207. paragraph, remove it. This allows removing several hacks from other
  208. plugins that htmlize fragements of pages.
  209. * In preferences, allow the subscriptions and email fields to be cleared.
  210. * teximg: Fix to support the same formula on multiple pages.

  212. ikiwiki (2.19) unstable; urgency=low
  213. * Only try postsignin if no other action matched. Fixes a bug where the
  214. user goes back from the signin screen and does something else.
  215. * Improve behavior when trying to sign in with no cookies.
  216. * Improved the canedit hook interface, allowing a callback function to be
  217. returned (and not run in some cases) rather than the plugins directly
  218. forcing a user to log in.
  219. * opendiscussion: allow editing of the toplevel discussion page,
  220. and, indirectly, allow creating new discussion pages.
  221. * Add a prereq on Data::Dumper 2.11 or better, needed to dump q// objects.
  222. * htmlscrubber: Further work around #365971 by adding tags for 'br/', 'hr/'
  223. and 'p/'.
  224. * aggregate: Include copyright statements from rss feed as meta copyright
  225. directives.
  226. * aggregate: Yet another state saving fix (sigh).
  227. * aggregate: Add hack to support feeds with invalidly escaped html entities.

  229. ikiwiki (2.18) unstable; urgency=low
  230. * Split error messages for failures to drop real uid and gid.
  231. * Retry dropping uid and gid, possibly this will help with the "Resource
  232. temporarily unavailable" failures I've experienced under xen.
  233. * Stop testing Encode::is_utf8 in decode_form_utf8: That doesn't work.
  234. * decode_form_utf8 only fixed the utf-8 encoding for fields that were
  235. registered at the time it was called, which was before the
  236. formbuilder_setup hook. Fields added by the hook didn't get decoded.
  237. But it can't be put after the hook either, since plugins using the hook
  238. need to be able to use form values. To fix this dilemma, it's been changed
  239. to a decode_cgi_utf8, which is called on the cgi query object, before the
  240. form is set up, and decodes *all* cgi parameters.
  241. * aggregate: Only save state if it was already loaded. This didn't used to
  242. matter, but after recent changes, state is not always loaded, and saving
  243. would kill it.
  244. * table: Fix dependency tracking for external data files. Closes: #458387

  246. ikiwiki (2.17) unstable; urgency=low
  247. * Improved parentlinks special case for index pages.
  248. * redir: Support for specifying anchors.
  249. * img: Avoid nesting images when linking to another image. Closes: #457780
  250. * img: Allow the link parameter to point to an exterior url.
  251. * conditional: Improve regexp testing for simple uses of pagespecs
  252. that match only the page using the directive, adding 'included()'
  253. and supporting negated pagespecs and added whitespace.
  254. * map: Fix handling of common prefix to handle the case where it's
  255. in a subdirectory. Patch by Larry Clapp.
  256. * aggregate: Fix stupid mistake introduced when converting it to use
  257. the needsbuild hook. This resulted in feeds not being removed when pages
  258. were updated, and feeds sometimes being forgotten about.
  259. * aggregate: Avoid uninitialised value warning when removing a feed that
  260. has an expired guid.

  262. ikiwiki (2.16) unstable; urgency=low
  263. * Major basewiki reorganisation. Most pages moved into ikiwiki/ subdirectory
  264. to avoid polluting the main namespace, and some were further renamed.
  265. * meta: Add redir support, based on a patch by Thomas Schwinge.
  266. * Redirs added for moved basewiki pages. These will be removed in a future
  267. release.
  268. * Remove .otl file from sandbox to avoid build ugliness. Closes: #454181
  269. * Finally implemented a simple per-page data storage mechanism for plugins,
  270. via the %pagestate hash.
  271. * Use pagestate in meta to detect potential redir loops.
  272. * Added a version plugin that saves state about what's using it, to force
  273. pages to rebuild when ikiwiki's version changes.
  274. * The calendar plugin stores state about when it needs to be updated,
  275. and forces rebuilds of the pages that contain calendars. So
  276. running ikiwiki --refresh at midnight is now enough, no need for a full
  277. wiki rebuild each midnight.
  278. * calendar: Work around block html parsing bug in markdown 1.0.1 by
  279. enclosing the calendar in an extra div.
  280. * Fix file pruning code to work if ikiwiki is run with "." as the srcdir.
  281. * Add an edittemplate plugin, allowing registering template pages, that
  282. provide default content for new pages created using the web frontend.
  283. * Change formbuilder hook to not be responsible for displaying a form,
  284. so that more than one plugin can use this hook.
  285. I believe this is a safe change, since only passwordauth uses this hook.
  286. (If some other plugin already used it, it would have broken passwordauth!)
  287. * Ensure that web edited pages always end in a newline.
  288. * Avoid unnecessary stat calls to get mtime when rendering pages, use
  289. cached value.
  290. * Preserve input file modification times in output files.
  291. * Allow dashes in preprocessor directive commands, and shortcuts.
  292. * Htmlize parameters passed to the template preprocessor directive before
  293. inserting them into the html template. This ensures that markdown
  294. acts on them, even if the value is expanded inside a block-level html
  295. element in the html template. Closes: #454058
  296. * Use a div in the note template rather than a span.
  297. * shortcut: Expand %S to the raw input text, not url-encoded.
  298. * Don't increment feed numbers when an inline has no feeds. (Nis Martensen)
  299. * Allow editing a page and deleting all content, while still disallowing
  300. creating a new page that's entirely empty.
  301. * meta: Drop support for "meta link", since supporting this for internal
  302. links required meta to be run during scan, which complicated its data
  303. storage, since it had to clear data stored during the scan pass to avoid
  304. duplicating it during the normal preprocessing pass.
  305. * If you used "meta link", you should switch to either "meta openid" (for
  306. openid delegations), or tags (for internal, invisible links). I assume
  307. that nobody really used "meta link" for external, non-openid links, since
  308. the htmlscrubber ate those. (Tell me differently and I'll consider bringing
  309. back that support.)
  310. * meta: Improved data storage.
  311. * meta: Drop the hackish filter hook that was used to clear
  312. stored data before preprocessing, this hack was ugly, and broken (cf:
  313. liw's disappearing openids).
  314. * aggregate: Convert filter hook to a needsbuild hook.
  315. * map: Don't inline images.
  316. * brokenlinks: Don't list the same link multiple times. (%links might
  317. contain multiple copies of the same link)
  318. * git: Correct display of multiline commit messages in recentchanges.
  319. * Re-organise dependencies and recommends now that recommends are installed
  320. by default.
  321. * Don't refuse to render files with ".." in their name. (Anchor the regexp.)
  322. * Work around perl taint checking bug #411786, where perl sometimes randomly
  323. sets the taint flag on untainted variables, by disabling taint checking
  324. in the deb. This sucks.

  330. * Reorganised git documentation.
  331. * Actually install the ikiwiki-update-wikilist program.
  332. * Improve workaround for perl bug #376329. Rather than double-encoding,

  434. showed up where a web edit that added a page caused a near-concurrent

  436. my analysis is that the failing cgi started first, loaded the index file
  437. (prior to locking) then the other cgi created the new page and rendered
  438. it, and then the failing cgi choked on the new file when _it_ tried to
  439. render it. Ensuring that the index file is loaded after taking the lock

  441. * Fix strange stderr-hiding code in the git module, allow error messages

1453. This allows passing a wikilink inside a parameter to a preprocessor
1454. directive without it being expanded to html, and leaking out of the
1455. parameter, which had required some non-obvious use of triple-quoting
1456. to avoid. Note that any preprocessor plugins that output something

1737. defaults to not processing .html files, since w/o this plugin they would
1738. be copied unsanitised. With this plugin, it will process and html
1739. sanitise them, like any other page type.
1740. * Rebuilding wrappers is necessary on upgrade to this version.
1741. * Make ikiwiki --setup --refresh rebuild wrappers, so wrapper rebuild

1765. layer, which led to lots of problems; make it force read files as utf-8.
  1766. Closes: #373203
1767. * Note that as a consequence, this version of ikiwiki will actually try to
1768. parse utf8 in source files for the first time, which may expose broken
1769. utf8 in wiki sources that was hidden before. Most common will be
1770. perl warnings like "utf8 "\xE9" does not map to Unicode"
1771. * writefile() likewise needs to use the utf8 output layer.
1772. * Remove the -CSD from ikiwiki's hashbang since it's useless to have it
  1773. there.
1774. * Revert some of the decode_utf8 changes in CGI.pm that seem unnecessary
  1775. given the readfile fix.
1776. * Add utf-8 testcases for readfile and htmlize.
1777. * Put back the encode_utf8 in the input to markdown; it's really not utf-8
  1778. safe.
1779. * More utf-8 fixes from Recai, partly to things I broke above:
1780. - The serious problem is that writefile() saves the content in undecoded
1781. format in CGI, hence all (non-ascii) chars are corrupted permanently.
1782. - Comment field in edit page is not decoded and all the non-ascii chars in
1783. this field are corrupted as the result. We should decode it as we do it
  1784. for the content.
1785. - Add 'use encoding "utf8"' to CGI.pm to avoid warnings about wide

1794. * Patch from Dr. Zini to add link() and backlink() to globlists. This allows
1795. for some handy stuff like:
1796. - Using links as a kind of tag; creating blog pages that list all pages
1797. containing a given tag/link or not containing some other tag.
1798. - Subscribing to mail notifications whenever a change is made to a page
1799. that is a backlink of page foo. Ie, "Please notify me of changes in all
1800. pages that link to my home page in the wiki"
1801. - Locking any pages that are linked to from a particular page, so that
1802. lists of locks can be exposed in the wiki.
  1803. * Reorganised the doc wiki's todo/* pages, using a link/tag to flag
1804. when a todo item is done, instead of the previous moving it to a different
  1805. subdir.
1806. * Allow pagetemplate plugins to override *anything* in the template.
1807. * Add a meta plugin, which allows specifying various metadata about pages,

1847. expanded the same as they are when rendering the inlined page as a
1848. standalone page. So rather than being expanded from the POV of the
1849. inlining page, they are expanded from the POV of the inlined page.
1850. For example, a link from blog/foo to "bar" will now link to blog/bar
1851. if it exists. Previously this needed to be a link explicitly to
1852. "blog/bar"; such links will also continue to work.
1853. (This was slightly complex to do as the link still has to be constructed
1854. relative to the inlining page.)
1855. * Make page edit textarea resize to fit browser window.
1856. * Add -refresh option to ikiwiki-mass-rebuild and use that on upgrades that
1857. do not need a full rebuild, in order to update any basewiki pages.

  1862. ikiwiki (1.2) unstable; urgency=low
1863. * Remove dups from the brokenlinks list.
1864. * Add libc6-dev to dependencies, needed to build wrappers.
1865. * Install wikilist in correct location. Closes: #367371

  1867. ikiwiki (1.1) unstable; urgency=low
1868. * Rename inlinepage to depends, so that it can be used to refer to more
1869. dependency relationships than just inlining. This will require a rebuild
1870. on upgrade to this version.
1871. * Move the rss link, put it in the blogpost form if there is one and at the
1872. top if not. This is both nicer because easier to find, and it cleans up
1873. the code which had used inlinepage as a flag for adding the link later.
1874. * Allow the depends GlobList to be built up from multiple sources (such as
1875. plugins) during a page render.
1876. * Which means that more than one blog is now supported to appear on a
1877. single page. (With some limitations, like only the last one getting an
  1878. rss file.)
  1879. * Added a plugin system.
1880. * Added a pagecount plugin, enabled by default.
1881. * Support PreProcessorDirectives with no parameters, ie "[[pagecount ]]".
1882. * Fixed/optimised backlinks code, to avoid rebuilding pages to update
1883. backlinks when the backlinks hadn't really changed.
1884. * Moved inline page support, rss generation etc into the inline plugin,
  1885. enabled by default.
1886. * Added brokenlinks plugin, not enabled by default, but rather handy.
1887. * Fix several broken links in the doc wiki.
1888. * Smarter behavior when creating a page and a page of the same name (but
  1889. different location) already exists.
1890. * Add an orphans plugin for finding pages that nothing links to.
1891. * Removed backlinks page, which it turns out nothing used.
1892. * Split off an IkiWiki.pm out of ikiwiki and have all the other modules use
1893. it, this will allow for adding a unit test suite.
1894. * Add unit tests for several core functions, including globlist_match,
1895. dirname, basename, bestlink, linkify, pagetitle, titlepage.
  1896. * Smart globlist merging.
1897. * Patch from Thomas Schwinge to switch from --svn to --rcs=svn, etc,
1898. to pave the way for adding other RCS support. This also changes the
1899. setup files, where before they had svn => 1 or svn => 0, now they have
  1900. rcs => "svn" or rcs => "".
  1901. * Add a debian/NEWS file with upgrade notes.
1902. * Load whatever rcs module is specified, so new ones can be just dropped in
1903. as plugins and work. (Well, in theory.)
1904. * Add some basic docs about writing RCS modules.
1905. * Broke search capability out into a plugin, removed the --hyperestraier
  1906. switch.
1907. * Added smiley plugin, nicely controlled and documented by the smileys page.
1908. * Copied in some smileys from Moin Moin.
1909. * Allow links of the form [[some page|page]], with whitespace in the link
  1910. text.
1911. * Removed --sanitize and --no-sanitize, replaced with --plugin htmlscrubber
  1912. and --disable-plugin htmlscrubber.
1913. * Allow discussion links on pages to be turned off with --no-discussion.
1914. * Add ikiwiki-mass-rebuild script, ripped out of the postinst.
1915. * Add some new config items to the estseek.conf template, which are needed
  1916. by hyperestraier 1.2.3.
